सोमय्या पॉलिटेक्निक येथे भारतरत्न डॉ.सर्वपल्ली राधाकृष्णन जयंतीनिमित्त शिक्षक दिन उत्साहात साजरा करण्यात आले.या कार्यक्रमात संस्थेचे अध्‍यक्ष श्री. पी. एस. आंबटकर, उपाध्यक्ष श्री. पियुष आंबटकर, सौ. प्रीती आंबटकर, सौ. अंकिता पियुष आंबटकर, प्राचार्य जमीर शेख सर, प्रा.मस्के सर,प्रा. खुजे सर, प्रा.नागराळे सर,प्रा.बोबडे सर,प्रा.ठाकरे सर,प्रा. कोटकर मॅडम,प्रा.बॉल्मवर मॅडम,प्रा.चव्हाण सर,प्रा.जोगी सर,रजीस्टार श्री. राजेश बिसन सर उपस्थीत होते,कार्यक्रमाच्या सुरुवातीला  डॉ.सर्वपल्ली राधाकृष्णन यांच्या प्रतिमेला पुष्पमाला अर्पण करण्यात आले.

विध्यार्थी,विध्यार्थीनिना शिक्षकाची भूमिका साकारून मार्गदर्शन केले.तसेच त्यांनी प्राचार्य,शिक्षक अश्या जवाबदारी सांभाळली. संस्थेचे डायरेक्टर सौ. अंकिता पियुष आंबटकर यांनी विध्यार्थाना मोलाचे मार्गदर्शन केले, तसेच विध्यार्थाना प्रमाणपत्र व सन्मान चिन्ह देऊन गौरविण्यात आले. शिक्षक दिन या ५ सप्टेंबर ला डॉ. सर्वपल्ली राधाकृष्णन यांचा जन्म झाला होता,हे एक चांगले शिक्षक होते,तसेच ते भारताचे दुसरे राष्ट्रपती सुद्धा होते,शिक्षक दिन हा शिक्षकांच्या कौतुकाचा एक विशेष दिवस आहे आणि एखाद्या विशिष्ट क्षेत्रातील त्यांच्या विशेष योगदानाबद्दल किंवा सामान्यत: समुदायामध्ये त्यांचा सन्मान करण्यासाठी उत्सवांचा समावेश असू शकतो.

तसेच शिक्षकानी विधार्थ्यांना अभ्यास व्यतिरिक्त त्यांचे आयुष्य घडविण्यास मदत केली पाहिजे,विधार्थ्यांच्या अडचणी समजून घेतल्या पाहिजे.शिक्षक हा कुंभाराप्रमाणे कार्य करीत असतो,ज्याप्रमाणे कुंभार हा मटके बनवितो,त्याला आकार देतो, त्याचप्रमाणे शिक्षक सुद्धा विध्यार्थ्यांच्या आयुष्याला योग्य आकार देतो.

ह्या कार्यक्रमाला उपस्थित सर्व विभाग प्रमुख, तसेच शिक्षक व शिक्षाकेत्तर कर्मचारी प्रामुख्याने उपस्थीत होते.
