मुंबईतील शिवाजी पार्क येथील बाळासाहेब ठाकरे राष्ट्रीय स्मारकाच्या जागेत महाविकास आघाडीची बैठक पार पडली. बैठकीत मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे, उपमुख्यमंत्री अजित पवार, जलसंपदा मंत्री जयंत पाटील, सार्वजनिक बांधकाम मंत्री अशोक चव्हाण, महसूल मंत्री बाळासाहेब थोरात उपस्थित होते. यावेळी वरिष्ठ प्रशासकीय आणि पोलीस अधिकारीदेखील बैठकीला हजर होते.या बैठकीत लॉकडाउन ३१ मे पर्यंत कायम ठेवण्यावर एकमत झालं आहे. सोबतच उद्योग टप्प्याटप्प्याने सुरु करण्याचाही निर्णय घेण्यात आल्याचं कळत आहे. पण करोनाचे रुग्ण वाढू नयेत यासाठी कंटेनमेंट झोनमध्ये कोणतीही सवलत दिली जाणार नसल्याचंही समजत आहे. मात्र अद्याप यासंबंधी कोणतीही अधिकत घोषणा करण्यात आलेली नाही. केंद्र सरकारने सविस्तर माहिती दिल्यानंतरच राज्य सरकारडून घोषणा केली जाणार असल्याचं सांगितलं जात आहे.
दरम्याने केंद्र सरकारने आधीच लॉकडाउन वाढवला जाणार असल्याचं स्पष्ट केलं आहे. पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी देशाला संबोधित करताना १७ मे नंतरही लॉकडाउन कायम असेल अशी घोषणा केली होती. मात्र तो कधीपर्यंत कायम असेल तसंच कोणते निर्बंध शिथील असतील याची माहिती दिली नाही.
